This role is central to the manufacturing facility, engaging with all departments. You will own the Production Schedule and create the operational plan, including MRP generation and develop planning capability. In addition, there will be direct responsibility for the function within the supply chain.
The primary duties of the Production Planning Manager will include:
Developing and managing the Production Schedule in the company’s systems to prepare requirements for purchased and manufactured parts and associated Subcontract Plans.
Developing and managing Short-medium-Long-term rough-cut capacity planning to support the execution and development of business growth.
Managing a team of two experienced Planners, including workload distribution and performance management.
Reviewing materials availability to plan; providing forecast information to Purchasing.
Driving continuous improvement of the process and developing scenario analysis to support optimising forecast and sales.
Ensure complete and timely closure of manufacturing orders and support new business contract reviews to provide optimum delivery dates to the client.
Driving compliance, efficiency, and effective use of the company’s ERP system.
Having an active role in supporting the leadership and management of the Supply Chain function and assisting the delivery of a profitable business.
To be considered for the Production Planning Manager role you will display the following skills, experience, and attributes:
Degree or relevant experience within a relevant business discipline.
Extensive supply chain experience in an ERP based manufacturing purchasing environment (Planning, MRP, ERP).
High-level financial awareness with experience in budget and financial reporting.
Knowledge and practical experience of modern planning practices and procedures within an ERP driven Manufacturing environment.
Knowledge of ERP and MS Office products essential. Advanced user of Microsoft Excel and be very numerate.
Adept in verbal and written communication. Ability to build relationships and influence at all levels with team management experience.
In-depth knowledge of ERP systems, including parameter setting, material and labour recording.
