Finance Analyst - Property - Salary Up to £30,000 + Excellent Benefits Package - Permanent - Manchester

As one of Search's preferred suppliers, this innovative and forward thinking organisation is seeking a Finance Analyst to join their centre of excellent team based in Manchester

The team plays a key role in setting the pace for key business decisions, budgets, analysing sales, managing costs and making sure statistics and data are accurate. With a focus on adding value to all business areas by helping them make data-driven decisions and understand what is driving commercial performance. You will provide guidance and support to Business Partners, in the areas of reporting, management information and analytics. You will be controlling the end to end process for all IFRS16 Property Lease, ensuring all are maintained as required under IFRS16, no controls are breached and operating correctly under IFRS16.

KEY SKILLS

Strong accounting skills.
Knowledge of IFRS16 and can articulate the different scenarios and identify the correct method for how the lease should be handled
Highly organised with exceptional time management and prioritisation skills
Exceptional business partnering skills with the ability to build relationships and influence partners at all levels
Excellent numerical and analytical skills (must be CIMA, ACCA or ACA qualified/finalist). Using this knowledge and experience to make management decisions and judgement for the benefit of the business
Operational improvement and project lead experience
Drive and deliver a strong audit and control environment
An ability to handle a complex and varied workload to tight timeframes
A good attention to detail and strong analytical skills
Solid understanding of SAP ECC and a high level of proficiency in Microsoft ExcelKey accountables

Delivery of month end and forecasting cycles for IFRS16 lease accounting
Owning the tools used to produce the monthly impacts for IFRS16 accounting
Complete annual/quarterly/monthly budgeting, with overlay and deliver this to the Head of Property Finance.
Monthly analysis of actuals versus forecast with senior partner level commentary highlighting any Risk/Opportunity
Contribute to the overall Commercial business report
To support and produce the month end reporting and analysis, working with BSC, and London colleagues to ensure financial reporting is accurate and timely
Working with the business to track and manage updates to the store estate, ensuring they are correctly reflected to agreed critical metrics
Maintaining a positive relationship with key partners e.g. regular meetings with Legal and estates teams.
Staying up to date with changes to lease accounting
Risk and Opportunity analysis to be performed monthly and delivered to the relevant teams to ensure the balance sheet is up to date and without discrepanciesThis award winning organisation will offer a excellent salary & benefits package along with a clear career path for ongoing development.
