Business Development Manager - £40,000 - £50,000 + Car + Bonus

North of England / Scotland

Elevation Recruitment Group are exclusively partnered with a leading Electronics manufacturing business to help them recruit a Business Development Manager to manage and grow business in the North & Scotland.

The ideal candidate will be degree educated or equivalent in Electrical / Electronic engineering or compatible career development equivalent.

Key Responsibilities:

To develop and implement a Sales Plan in order to achieve or exceed targets as set and agreed with the Sales Manager, by;

*Identifying new customers to generate new business
*Identify new projects at current customers to generate new business
*To follow up leads

*To establish and manage pricing in achieving or exceeding gross margin targets
*Identify target market sectors and target clients within those sectors
*Achieve agreed sales and financial targets - turnover and Gross margin
*Ensure cost effective management of business with regard to stocking, product obsolescence and new product introduction
*Monitor sales performance highlighting risks and identifying actions to reduce or eliminate risk
*Provide updated information re market, customers & competition where applicable
*Analyse all available management information to improve profitability and efficiency for all aspects of your responsibility.
*Regularly analyse and monitor the relevant business statistics to maximise the profitability and efficiency of the business.

Skills and Experience:

Experience required.

*Degree educated or equivalent in Electrical / Electronic engineering or compatible career development equivalent.
*Minimum two years commercial experience, ideally gained in electronic / electrical applications
*Demonstrable experience in delivering year on year sales growth or compatible equivalent
*Solid understanding of business, financials, products/services, the market, and the needs of assigned accounts.
*Understands emerging market trends and interdependencies impacting customers; leverages understanding to expand relationships with own customers.
*Strong commercial and strategic experience working to performance targets
