Health and Safety Advisor - Housing Services
Responsible to: Group Health and Safety Manager
A Health and Safety Advisor with experience in housing is required to join our expanded team. You will be reporting directly to the Group Health and Safety Manager. In this role your primary task is to provide health and safety support to the Housing Services within GreenSquareAccord Group.
You will be required to liaise and develop robust working relationships with the operational management within your agreed authority to ensure that health and safety is considered as an integral part of all the works undertaken by the operational teams.

The Health and Safety Advisor is responsible for the developing health and safety systems and procedures and monitoring their effectiveness within their areas of responsibility in accordance with the Group wide policies and procedures.#
Provide advice and, as applicable, recommendations to the operational management regarding their duties and responsibilities for developing, introducing, maintaining, and monitoring health and safety compliance.
Advise the operational management regarding the health and safety duties, risks and responsibilities.
Consult with and report to the appropriate managers to establish that adequate systems and procedures are in place to ensure that competent staff, adequate funds, and materials are available to meet the health, safety and welfare safety duties.
Make recommendations to Management regarding the use of external specialists dealing with matters outside of their scope of expertise.
Take a direct interest in the implementation of the Group Health and Safety Management System and providing help and support to those persons whose function it is to carry it out specified tasks.
Provide advice and support to the Heads of Service and Human Resources Department, if requested, as part of investigations into the suitability, capability or alleged serious breaches in health and safety legislation or Group policy, procedures or agreed safe systems of working.
Experience in general health and safety and housing health & safety management, within the maintenance and house building sectors
Health and safety experience in similar sector
Current full driving licence and access to own transport is essential for this role
