Job purpose:

To ensure the prompt and efficient delivery / collection of stock from designated areas, whilst taking responsibility for all stock levels within the depot, keeping waste and cost to a minimum.

Role of Department:

To deliver excellent customer services, ensuring that through effective stores and stock management all installations are fitted in an efficient and professional manner.

Key Result Areas/ Responsibilities:

Oversee all deliveries to the Installation depot, receiving documentation from all suppliers and cross-reference to the goods received. To ensure no goods to be signed for until quantities against delivery notes are checked.

To complete all documentation as and when appropriate, keeping a record of all goods collected and delivered.

To collect and deliver materials from any location as instructed by the Installation management team within agreed timescales.

Responsible for the loading/unloading of any vehicles, checking goods and generally assisting in the good housekeeping of the depot.

To check every survey sheet and to only extract from the stores the quantities entered with any further requests to be authorised by the Manager.

Ensure the vehicle allocated is kept in a clean condition and that all the water, oil, battery levels and tyre wear are checked on a weekly basis.

Ensure all stock is available for installations with extraordinary items i.e. building materials, arch formers, timber linings, plumbing materials, gutters, down pipes and items of roofing materials. Make manager aware of any potential problems in a timely fashion.

To ensure all materials carried on the vehicle are secured and loaded so as not to contravene any road traffic offence, including overloading.

Responsible for all stock levels within the depot and keep waste to an absolute minimum to ensure no loss of profit.

To take overall responsibility for ensuring all frames are stored safely and in job order and that no health and safety issues are breached.

To ensure the skip and surrounding areas are kept clean, safe and tidy.

To adopt a flexible approach according to the needs and resources of the branch and undertake all other duties as requested by any senior member of staff.

Full FLT License an advantage but no essential
