We are recruiting for an school holiday activity camp  who require Team Leaders  and Early Years Co-ordinators to work for 1 week over October half term.

The  award winning day camps provide fun, safe and confidence-building experiences for 3 to 16 year olds throughout the school holidays. They have a higher staff to child ratio than any other day camp provider in the UK  and each day  is filled with adventure, inspiration, a wealth of activities and learning opportunities for the children.

Our group leaders and key workers are recruited specifically to bring infectious enthusiasm and a passion to support the campers throughout the day. Each team member will go through a rigorous training process and subject to being vetted accordingly through the Disclosure and Barring Scheme; A minimum staff to child ratio is practised at all times and each camp has a designated Child Safety Officer.

Key role responsibilities Typical knowledge, skills & experience Training requirements

Initiating and instructing games and activities from the suite of campactivities.Managing behaviour and welfare of the children of the group.Ensuring equipment is stored correctly and used In the right way.Between activities ensure the children have the opportunity to use thetoilet, have a drink and/or apply sun cream (if necessary).Knowledge of safeguarding policy and procedures and report any issuesto the onsite safeguarding lead.Manage the Group Leaders within your group.Ensure activity areas are kept clean and tidy at all times and assist withset up and breakdown of camp.Support the Management team and other staff in delivering the bestcamp experience for every child.Signing the children in and out everyday, offering feedback to theparents on how the children have got on.Listening to feedback from the parents, ensure you act upon it and workwith the management team to resolve any issues.Report accidents/incidents to the management team as they happen andlearn from them to prevent in the future. 

Typical skills and desirable experience

Ability to work within a teamExcellent communicator with lots of energyand enthusiasm and above all a real desireto give an outstanding camp experience toevery child.Experience within a multi-activity campenvironment is beneficial but not required.ApproachableAbility to engage with all age groupsAn awareness/knowledge of health andsafety and good practiceAbility to adapt and use initiative. Pay is per hour and will be according to age and experience within static bandings
