This is a days-based Mechanical Fitter position working with a globally recognised, multi-award-winning Chemical manufacturer. This role offers a progressive training programme allowing employees to obtain the skills to progress towards personal goals and long-term opportunities into senior, management and project positions are available.
The successful Mechanical Fitter will be operating on a growing COMAH chemical manufacturing site that has recently had millions of pounds invested into new equipment to expand the facility. Opportunities for the successful Mechanical Fitter to progress on this site are strong, with the company regularly investing into their workforce in order to up skill and develop individuals.
Responsibilities of the Mechanical Fitter;
Engaging in a career and personal development programme to enable long-term progression to senior level positions.
Preventative and reactive maintenance work in a chemical industrial environment working on equipment such as gearboxes, pumps, seals, pipework etc.
Statutory inspections - pressure testing, plant integrity and commissioning work.
The use of Computerised Maintenance Management Systems.
The ability to use and interpret equipment drawings, manuals and other technical information to assist with all works.
Mechanical Fitter will be expected to work in accordance with the company safe systems of work and permit to work systems.I am keen to speak with individuals that have previous experience as a Mechanical Fitter or Engineer. This minimum requirement for this position would be apprentice trained as a Mechanical Fitter, however it would also be an advantage to possess further qualifications, such as a HNC / HND.
As a Mechanical Fitter the company will invest into further qualification, regular pay reviews, double figure pension and 25 days holiday plus stats.
