We are excited announce the opportunity for an experienced Deputy Development Manager to join the Planning team in Boston.

The Deputy Development Manager will support the Development Management Lead in providing effective, professional leadership to ensure delivery of service within the Development Management team.

Operating on a matrix management basis, you will work with other members of the wider Planning team. Ensuring quality outcomes including supporting the Planning service’s role in managing and encouraging growth across the Alliance. You will retain a small caseload, predominantly of longer-term projects or those of strategic importance, but will provide a flexible caseload capacity based on your experience, knowledge and skillset.

You will be a key focal point in terms of decision-making and will work closely with the Development Management Lead and deputise as may be required to manage general delivery and department performance. You will have the opportunity to support and mentor junior staff, as well as influence cultural and procedural changes within the team to ensure that we are efficient and effective in all we do.
