Elevation Accountancy & Finance are currently working exclusively with this fast paced & well-established business based in Goole, to recruit an Accounts Assistant to join their close-knit finance team, on a 12 month contract to cover maternity leave.

You must be flexible and open to adapt, as well as being an excellent team player. This is a brilliant opportunity to add depth to your accounts experience!

Duties & Responsibilities will include:

* Maintaining employee details
* Collating payroll details - e.g. timesheet information, sickness, absence, statutory leave to pass to outsourced payroll provider
* Processing a high volume of purchase ledger invoices
* Coding & Matching invoices
* Statement reconciliations
* Getting approval for the payment of invoices
* Company credit card payments and reconciliations
* Resolving invoice queries
* Monitoring of accounts email inbox
* Sales invoice processing
* Checking sales invoices
* Chasing outstanding debt via email and telephone
* Allocating payments
* Setting up new accounts
* Producing aged debt report (report generated by accounting software)
* Resolving customer queries
* Processing Card Payments
* Petty Cash

The ideal candidate will be AAT (or similar) qualified but will also bring the following skills, experience and competencies:

* Self motivated and enthusiastic disposition
* Strong organisational skills
* Experience supporting with some aspects of month end accounts process
* Payroll experience
* Sage accounting package preferred
