Head of Business Development - Lancashire, or Remote Working. 

Delighted to be working in partnership with our PE backed, international, business services company based in Greater Manchester. They are very successful with a strong growth strategy and have a new position for a Head of Business Development, to identify appropriate business opportunities and deliver new clients and cross sell with the existing customers, in line with the business objectives and vision.   
Reporting directly to the UK Sales Director, the Head of Business Development, offers a diverse and challenging career that will be an exciting proposition for ambitious and proven sales professionals. 
  
Key Deliverables:

Must be capable of working with an international customer base whilst managing complex and elongated sales cycles that result in multi-million-pound contracts.
You will relish the opportunity to help this business achieve its exciting growth through the acquisition of new customer relationships.
You will contribute more widely to the management and marketing of the business and other projects.
Meet and exceed sales targets. 
Develop a suitable, tailored sales proposition for each opportunity.
Build strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.   The Right Candidate:

Will have experience of designing and selling innovative and bespoke solutions to a wide variety of customers
Consumer sector experience (either working within or from a customer perspective) is essential, namely; FMCG, telecoms, retail, pharma or hospitality. Or another business services or distribution background. Candidates therefore could come from several sectors or markets, but it is very likely that they will possess sales experience gained from within a corporate or blue-chip company. 
Ideally, you will have also spent time in a more entrepreneurial environment, division or SME which provides you with the ‘hands on approach’ needed to be successful within this fast moving organisation. 
Will have the ability to influence and build relationships with clients at the highest level.  
You will possess the gravitas and adept communication skills needed to work with a wide range of colleagues.
Can demonstrate resilience, share the passion for the vision and growth of the business.
The ability to adapt and operate effectively in a number of different environments and situations
