An exciting opportunity for an Associate Quantity Surveyor in Birmingham has just opened up. The opportunity will see you working on one of the UK's leading Construction Consultancy's upcomig development led infrastructure projects.


One of the largest Consultancies in the UK with 21 offices across the country as well as more offices all across the world. They have an uparralelled reputation in the market and are working on some of the UK's highest profile developments. Projects span both public and private sector, and following on from a number of project wins they are in need to expand their teams across the UK. 


They are looking to employ someone at the Senior or Associate level, to work on their upcoming development led infrastructure projects in and around the Birmingham area. Development Led Infrastructure includes (but is not limited to): Strategic Earthworks; primary highway routes through the development; drainage; statutory undertakers; public open space; off site highway works; and maintenance costs and abnormal costs (contamination / piling etc).

The opportunity involves taking full responsibility for the infrastructure on a number large development projects. The successful Quantity Surveyor will be given the opportunity to take full client ownership and manage the project through to completion. The successful candidate will also be given the opportunity to get involved in business and client development and represent the company at various networking events and meetings.

The successful Quantity Surveyor:

Can be from any Quantity Surveying background, Consultancy, Main-Contracting or Sub-Contracting
Has relevant qualifications and ideally be Chartered but not a must
Will have at least four years experience working as a Project Quantity Surveyor and 
Considerable knowledge and extensive experience of the delivery of infrastructure projects
Has great communication and client facing skills
Excellent IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
Ability to work on own initiative, with the ability to manage own time effectively
Highly organised with the ability to work to tight deadlines
