We are offering a fantastic opportunity to join us here at Agincare as an Accounts Assistant.

Our Agincare Finance Department are based in Castletown, Portland, Dorset. This is a full-time role, 40 hours per week with a salary of up to £21,000 per annum depending on experience, plus benefits.


The principal purpose of this post is to post all transactions on the bank accounts and reconcile the accounts on a daily basis.

Job duties include;

Downloading bank statements from online banking on a daily basis and format into workable document to record the treatment of each transaction. 
Ensuring all payments have been entered on accounts system by respective departments and chase where needed to ensure all items are entered on the system in a timely manner.
Ensuring relevant documentation received for each sales receipt, enter onto accounts system and allocate against respective Sales Ledger accounts.
Import Direct Debit receipts on accounts system and allocate against respective Sales Ledger accounts.
Reconcile Bank Statements to the Accounts System on a daily basis.
Notify necessary branches of receipts of shopping money and request funds to be transferred to petty cash accounts.
Notify sales ledger of any unallocated sales receipts
Notify sales ledger team of any discrepancies between receipts and invoices
Support ways to continually improve processes and methods of working
Put together daily request to line manager for any necessary transfers between accounts that are needed to be made
Assist with the preparation and clearing of the intercompany reconciliations on a monthly basis
Plan and organise own workload in order to meet the daily and monthly deadlines 


Good planning and organisational skills
Good numerical skills
Good knowledge of Microsoft Office suite including Excel
Excellent communication and customer service skills
