VANL have an exciting opportunity for an HR & Business Support Manager to join our team based in Airdrie, combining home and office working. You will join us on a full-time, fixed-term contract of 12 months with the possibility of extension and permanency. In return will receive a competitive salary of £30,000 - £35,000 per annum.

Voluntary Action North Lanarkshire is the respected and valued support organisation for the community and voluntary sector in North Lanarkshire and this post is a key role which supports our ability to deliver all our work.

The HR & Business Support Manager will manage our internal HR and Business Support functions and lead the development of an HR Business and support service for the NL Community and Voluntary sector.

6% employer’s contribution and minimum 3% employee contribution

What you’ll be doing as our HR & Business Support Manager?

Management of VANL’s internal HR function including HR policy and procedures, recruitment, convening VANL’s quarterly HR Committee, including preparation of agendas and reports, compliance with government Disability Confident and Carer Positive schemes, and managing re-accreditation through Investors in People

Management of VANL’s internal Business Support function including corporate policies and procedures and data and information management, including compliance with GDPR

Supporting VANL performance management, including preparation of progress reports for funders and accreditation through Charity Excellence

Developing and piloting a high quality, sliding fee-based service and managing the delivery of the service on an ongoing basis if the pilot successful

What are we looking for in our HR & Business Support Manager?

Degree level education

HR training and professional membership of CIPD

At least three years experience of HR and Business support – preferably in the community and voluntary sector

Demonstrable commitment to and understanding of the mission and values of VANL or a willingness to develop these
