The Shore Group are working in partnership with an admirable Design & Build business located in Birmingham for the recruitment of a Business Development Director. Our client is well known in the locality for their untarnished project management and consultative approach which has pathed the way to securing some of the most sought after Fit Out projects in the Midlands.

This is a wonderful opportunity for an antonymous yet collaborative Networker to take ownership of creating and developing flourishing and long-term relationships. You will primarily build your network with the end-user, but simultaneously engaging with Agents and Consultants to widen the breadth of your client portfolio.

You will report directly to the MD and make part of the leadership team. You will play pivotal role in both guiding and working in partnership with your colleagues to ensure business opportunities are maximised. Key Responsibilities

* Responsible for developing and nurturing existing relationships using them to leverage additional tenders.

* Using your networking expertise to generating new business opportunities.

* Attend networking functions, events and seminars to exploit your professional profile within the Fit-Out industry.

* Develop strategies using economic and marketing information available to identify office relocations particularly focusing on industries and specific companies who are bucking the trend.

* Be involved in relevant networking events, conferences and presentations.

* Maintain a steady flow of contact with new and existing clients ensuring a ‘multiple touch-point’ approach to your business development.

* Working with the MD to develop and implement ‘win work strategies’ which is targeted and KPI focused.

* Work in partnering with the Pre-Construction team to manage a pipeline portfolio to ensure leads are monitored consistency whilst offering support and guidance during the tendering process for new projects.

* Responsible for developing new leads and creating a workable ‘follow up’ system.

* Where appropriate, assist the pre-construction team with a pricing strategy.

* Attend internal leadership meetings supporting colleagues with sales planning.

Due to the nature of the role, you will ideally match the following:

* A respectable pedigree working for a highly regarded BUSINESS CONSULTANCY or OFFICE FIT OUT company within a Sales/Business Development capacity.

* Experience of building relationships directly with the end-user (e.g. direct with the client).

* Experience of building relationships with Agents/Consultant.

* Currently (or previously) worked for a Design & Build company.

* Your network is primarily within the West Midlands area
