RECEPTIONIST
Key responsibilities of the Receptionist:
* To carry out all aspects of the Receptionist's duties according to the latest 'Work Instruction.'
*
You are the first point of call at the Front Reception and on the telephone, assisting and answering any queries from guests, colleagues, and visitors.
*
To include at times showing guests a room for walk in enquiries.
*
The sales aspect of the role includes offering to the guest the benefits of the hotel to encourage the guest to book and to gain repeat bookings to maintain and increase hotel occupancy.
*
To carry out all aspects of administration with attention to detail and good organisation skills.
*
Receiving incoming calls and making outgoing calls with a helpful telephone manner, passing on messages for colleagues and management.
*
Checking guests in and out. Processing all types of payments for room reservations and guiding guests with dining options, and completion of guest registration forms.
*
Processing room reservations through our computerised online booking system, by telephone, emails, and walk ins.
*
To file, organise all the paperwork and payments alongside the current and future bookings.
*
Communicating and liaising with Housekeeping, Night Security, Contractors, and Management to ensure the smooth operations of the hotel.
Key Qualities of the Receptionist:
* To be responsible, reliable, loyal, trustworthy, self-motivated with good customer service skills, basic computer skills and administration skills.
*
To enjoy working with people, to over exceed the guests’ expectations and guest satisfaction by offering the best customers service at all times.
*
You must be smartly presentable, welcoming, positive, and offer a friendly, helpful attitude and approach to everyone.
*
To have good work ethic, be adaptable and be willing to carry out additional tasks when necessary.
*
To comply with current hotel policies for guests and staff, including the Fire & Health & Safety Procedures.
*
To undertake training from your receptionist colleague and ongoing training from the General Manager.
*
Must live locally.
Part Uniform supplied after training and trial period.
Hours, Holidays and Pay Rate for the Receptionist
41 hours per week: 5 Shifts of 8 hours between Monday to Sunday. Variety of shifts: 2pm to 10pm and 6/7am to 2pm, according to the weekly rota.
Annual leave accrued according to the hours worked.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £8.91-£10.00 per hour
