Our client, an award-winning practice based in the south of Edinburgh are seeking a talented Senior / Associate Architect to join their expanding team. In addition to their delivery of core multi-residential projects, they have a growing client base and schemes that include Net Zero Carbon offices, conservation focussed residences and the delivery of an emerging brand in the hospitality sector.
The most suitable Senior / Associate Architect must be able to demonstrate a full range of skills from feasibility and detailed planning to technical capability and project management with job running experience. Experience in Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp and Microsoft Office is required. A few responsibilities include, create detailed drawings, working drawings and produce planning applications for several projects as well as producing technical drawings, working collaboratively with other members of staff as well as attending site visits when necessary. Good knowledge of Scottish Building Regulations will also be important for the successful Senior / Associate Architect, you will take responsibility for leading a project team, be comfortable representing the practice at client, contractor, and consultant meetings and take on a key role in the delivery of successful schemes across the UK.
Our client are seeking someone to have a hands-on approach to managing the collation of key design and drawing packages while being ready to review other team members' work. You'll be able to multi-task and have a reasoned and pragmatic approach when faced with challenges as they emerge.
Senior / Associate Architect Position Overview
Work on a range of developments predominantly within the commercial sector
Run projects from inception to completion
Work independently as well as in a team
Attend Site Visits
Create building regulation drawings and technical detailing
Work closely with clients and contactors
Senior / Associate Architect Position Requirements
Have a minimum of 5 years post part 3 experience
Be able to demonstrate excellent design and strong technical skills
Be a strong and clear communicator
Be able to collaborate with and manage multidisciplinary teams
Take responsibility for project delivery, managing resources, deadlines, and stakeholder interface
Can demonstrate experience of all RIBA project stages, administration of contracts and management of small and large-scale developments
Be personable, enthusiastic and have a helpful and pro-active attitude
Be able to make strategic decisions and be eager to find opportunities to contribute to the development of the practice
Applicants must hold the relevant qualifications, ARB registration and be eligible to work in the UK
Senior / Associate Architect Position Remuneration
Competitive salary (£40,000 - £50,000 DOE)
