This regionally based Fire and Security Company are recruiting at all levels, from junior engineer (1-2 years experience) through to Senior Engineers (5 years plus experience) Salary dependant on experience.
You will be responsible for Service and maintenance as well as installation of both Fire and Security Alarms across Bristol and surrounding areas with occasional nights away when working on projects.
Specific Job Skills: Current ECS/CSCS card is required and this ensures a basic knowledge of Health and Safety.
Engineer must hold a minimum of Emergency First Aid at Work certificate. Understands the principles of electronic security, including intruder alarms, fire alarms, access control and CCTV. Must have electronic skills to the level of Grade 3 (Engineer), as per Engineer grading schedule.
Must be aware of relevant British Standards for installation and maintenance and ensure that these are upheld in installations carried out by yourself. Must be aware of NSI (National Security Inspectorate) standards and ensure that these standards are met in installations and maintenance. Must be aware of profitability in the business and the need for continued sales
Installation and maintenance of: a. Intruder Alarm System b. Fire Alarm Systems c. CCTV (IP and analogue) d. Access Control Systems e. Other Emergency systems 2. Helping to ensure safety regulations are met in the Technical team;
Stand-by duty after normal working hours, according to rota;
Responsibility for own and company tools and equipment; 5. Assisting management in the control of stock levels;
Ensuring that a product will work and perform consistently in specified operating environments; Keeping up to date with developments in technologies and regulations; Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending training, toolbox talks and more; Contribution to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed

Sufficiently mobile and fit to carry out the physical requirements of installing and maintaining systems. Flexible to travel daily within the UK, although most work is within a 50-mile radius and travelling out of this area is rare. Keen for new experience, responsibility and accountability. Able to get on with others and be a team-player
