A civil engineering and water contractor are recruiting Site Engineers for their Southern region to deliver water based civil engineering projects up to £25m in Hampshire and West Sussex. The business deliver projects up to £30m and have secured an extensive amount of work on the AMP7 Water Framework for Southern Water.

The Site Engineer role will compromise of setting out reinforced concrete foundations, retaining walls, access roads, steel and pipework, drainage and other civils aspects associated with new pumping stations, rising mains and water treatment facilities.
Ideally you will have graduated and have at least 12 months' experience using a total station in a site based role which will aid you to use your initiative coordinating gangs to maximise efficiency and work in-line with the programme.
Site Engineer duties include:
Setting out pipelines, earthworks and concrete works with surveying equipment (GPS & Robotic Total Stations)
Manage all engineering activity providing direction to the direct workforce and subcontractors
Quality control to ensure the standards are met in accordance to the design specifications
Assist in producing permits to break ground (CAT Scanning management)
Ensuring the highest health, safety and environmental standards are met on site adhering to the client's and business's requirement
Liaise with the site team to approve materials ensuring they meet specification
Keep accurate records of progress reports, site diaries and resource allocations
Produce as-built drawings in AutoCAD
