Technical Sales Engineer - 33K + Excellent bonus scheme + Car allowance + Benefits……………

The Company:

Our client is known nationwide as a provider of highly effective safety solutions. Based in the Northwest, they work with a variety of businesses across the UK to maximise the safety of their sites. By working directly with clients, they are able to provide them with a service that takes them from specification right through to installation and ongoing recertification.

The Role:

The Technical Sales Engineer will report to the General Manager and will be responsible for the development of fall protection solutions and services sales in order to develop significant revenue growth on all products. The responsibility for sales forecasting and plan execution are key aspects of this role, as is the development and mentoring of the sales team.

By working closely with the General Manager – the Technical Sales Engineer will be expected to make a direct contribution to the strategic development of new business and routes to market. They must also work closely with the Contracts Department to ensure the effective planning and utilization of resources.

Main duties include:

* The delivery of a personal sales targets.

* Generation of a Safety Solutions business.

* Building repeat customer relationships.

* Management of your own Burndown List (Order Opportunities).

Key responsibilities include:

* The delivery of a personal monthly sales target.

* Key account management and sector targeting to include customer visits and on-site meetings.

* Lead by example with site surveys and quotations as and when required to achieve individual sales target.

* The development and collation of all required weekly/monthly sales data, identifying issues and planned resolution.

* Motivating, coaching, inspiring and ensuring the effective provision of required sales training for all members of the Team.

* Follow processes to control, manage and continually improve margins and drive down costs.

* Operate in accordance with Group Factored Product Approval guidelines.

* Development of fall protection solution type business with a focus on new business generation using proven GDM Techniques.

* The successful launch of all new products.

* Give support to the Contracts Manager & General Manager.

* Ensuring a full understanding of competitor activity and strengths and weaknesses.

* The development of our products in line with the Brand Pyramid.

* All other tasks within the Sales Development/Management area as requested by the General Manager.

What We Are Looking For:

The Technical Sales Engineer will ideally have:

* Strong management skills.

* Strong interpersonal skills.

* Experience of managing a CRM system.

* Good organisational skills.

* Demonstrable understanding of other business functions.

* Strong negotiation and influencing skills, able to build highly effective internal and external relationships.

* Flexible and adaptable, able to respond to rapidly changing situations.
