Contract initially till 31/12/2021 likely renewable on a rolling basis.

Scope of Service: 
Facilitating and driving the progression of issues raised in pre-series development, as quickly and effectively as possible, and providing actionable insight to decision making functions; thus increasing efficiency, improving launch readiness, and reducing the potential cost of warranty and customer dissatisfaction in the field.

Key Deliverables:  Accountable - ensuring problem resolution within time targets

Tracking of problems listed within VW group’s pre-series problem management system [KPM]
Escalation of problems to an appropriate forum as required
Leading and moderating discussions among stakeholders to remove barriers preventing the progression of problems i.e. task ownership/disputes
Holding stakeholders to account with regard delivering on committed process inputs and actionsAccountable  - Process and process ownership

Developing and maintaining a formally agreed business method for tracking and escalating concerns in a data-driven, process orientated way.
Maintaining a reliable process for the problem management of issues reported in KPM and ensuring that the process is followed cross-functionally.
Agreeing the standards for KPM Ticket data input and ensuring they are maintainedAccountable – Issue Reporting

Structure and analyse data to provide actionable insight
Development and management of meaningful KPIs to be used in problem management and steering
Creation and management of Tableau dashboards for holistic reporting of status across the business, and identification of top issues.
Supporting other areas of the business and providing information regarding current project status (with regard KPM ticket numbers, progress, severity etc.)
Providing and presenting status summary reports for management forums up to Board level e.g. Director Review, EG Circle, TopE, Pilot Hall etcKey Skills/Experience:  Demonstrable skill and experience to management level in the following:

Broad technical knowledge of automotive systems and software
Knowledge of problem solving tools and 8D methodology
Familiarity with KPM-TE/EE or similar [VW group’s pre-series problem management system]
PC skills – Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Tableau, Business Objects
Ability to analyse and interpret large amounts of data
Familiarity with data visualisation techniques and dashboard development
Process analysis and development
