Job description:

Our client is looking for an experienced office manager with the ability to deal with accounts, systems and payroll.

The ideal candidate would be proficient using Sage software in a busy environment whilst overseeing general office systems and general staff management.

Must be reliable and organised with the ability to problem solve independently.

This is a permanent role for the right candidate. Our client is open to hearing from candidates who are either looking for a full time role or flexible part time hours to suit. With the option to work remotely when necessary.

Daily responsibilities will include:

Weekly and monthly payroll for internal staff and sub-contractors. Processing & BACS submission
Analysis of employee hours. Highlighting and dealing with any payroll errors
Calculation & deductions of NI & Tax contributions
Managing holiday, sickness, paternity & maternity pay
Reviewing & Analysing Payroll, benefits & tax procedures, with a view to improving efficiency
Assisting with the day to day management of a busy construction management team and timetableRequirements for the role

Qualified, competent and experienced using Sage software
End to End payroll processing experience, ideally within a sub-contract construction environment
Demonstrable experience of improving/streamlining processes and systems
Proficient with MS office, Excel
High attention to detail and confident communicator
Experience with general office management
Previous experience or knowledge of working within the construction industry would be preferred but isn't essentialITS Building People specialise in providing Labour, Trades and construction professionals across the UK
