As a business, we are growing nationally and internationally and as a result, we are seeking a talented and motivated Cost Manager to join our Cardiff based Rail team.
Responsibilities will include carrying out valuations, cost auditing, change management, financial reporting, forecasting, final accounting, agreement of target costs, benchmarking, risk analysis and management. You will deliver all work outputs in an accurate and timely manner to a high standard of quality.
Working in a collaborative environment, you will be a strong communicator with excellent negotiation skills. We require a Cost Manager with excellent client facing skills, who can manage the relationship with a wide range of stakeholders in a flexible environment. The successful candidate will be able to cope with demanding and changing timeframes and be able to provide support to junior team members.
To be considered for this role you will be qualified in construction, quantity surveying, engineering or other RICS accredited degree, have a minimum of 5 years’ experience and will be working towards MRICS or similar.
Excellent technical knowledge and experience within the civil engineering and / or Rail industry is essential, and candidates will be expected to have detailed knowledge of either NEC3/NEC4 contracts or the Network Rail Suite of Contracts.
