I have a fantastic opportunity to join a well-known public sector organisation based in Lancashire are looking to recruit a Health & Safety manager on a 6-month temporary basis, this position has the opportunity to lead into a permanent role within the business.
Your new role
Providing advice and support you will oversee the Health & Safety requirements of the business. Responsibilities will include:
Reviewing and improving policies and procedures
Conducting inspections of all sites required
Provide advice and guidance to all management where required
Ensure all permits and facilities are managed
Manage the internal management systems
Carry out audits and risk assessments, giving recommendations
What you'll need to succeed
My client is looking for experience in a similar role as you will need to hit the ground running. You will have a Construction, Facilities Management or Estates background. You will also hold a NEBOSH certificate as a minimum qualification. You will be able to demonstrate a consistent approach to Health & Safety, be adaptable and able to work in a fast paced, ever changing environment. A willingness to learn and a 'can do' attitude is key for this position as your role will be varied.
What you'll get in return
You will be offered a 6-month temporary position paying a competitive hourly rate at £25.00 which is a salary equivalent of up to £40,000 per annum. You will be able to enjoy free onsite parking also for this convenient location.
