Salary: £23,345 - £29,549 per annum
The Lecturer in Criminology will work primarily with students engaged across a range of programmes providing a high level of support needed to achieve their programme of study. The post-holder will need to be innovative in their teaching methods and responsible for leadership of programmes/modules.

Responsibilities of our Lecturer in Criminology:
Deliver teaching and learning, ensuring stretch, challenge and engagement of students of all ages and abilities. Collation and submission of financial claims as required to appropriate funding bodies and partners as required
Plan, prepare and update all relevant teaching documentation including schemes of work, lesson plans and online learning materials, using Canvas
Lead, coordinate and support course activities which will support the achievement of curriculum area targets. Accurately carry out the qualification completion process within the departmental systems in a timely manner
Take responsibility and facilitate academic tutorials for students
Assess, monitor, and record feedback to students to facilitate their best achievement using the College’s data systems and processes, working to exam board guidelines and quality systems
Lead, coordinate and support IV/IQA processes within the curriculum area
Contribute to the quality assurance processes and curriculum design within the area
What we’re looking for in our Lecturer in Criminology:
Subject specialism in Criminology (Minimum L6)
Cert. Ed/PGCE or willingness to work towards
GCSE or equivalent in Maths and English
Previous experience of teaching Criminology including BTEC and City and Guilds Qualifications
Experience of working within Further/Higher Education
Professional development within Criminology and Psychology
Experience of Course leadership
