Childrens Residential Support Worker 

East Riding of Yorkshire

Full Time - Permanent Roles

Day and night shifts available 

We are currently working closely with The Open Care Group to recruit a number of skilled SEN specialist Support Workers for full time, permanent roles from February 2022. 

This is an exciting opportunity to join a friendly, professional team within an alternative provision in a small village located in the West of Hull. Initially you will be employed through Vision for Education, pending a 3 month probation review where you will then transfer on to a permanent contract with The Open Care Group. 

The Role:

You will work as part of a brand new team within a well established group. It will be based within an Ofsted rated 4 bed residential setting for children aged 11 - 16 years with Special Educational Needs. 

You will deliver and maintain a high level of quality care and support which meets the physical, emotional and educational needs of the children.  Youll be able to develop supportive relationships and create a nurturing environment for the children to feel safe, respected and valued. 


This role may require you to work with children with a high levels of SEN such as Autism, ADHD, SLCN, SEMH, and PD, so experience in one or more of there areas would be desirable.

To be a successfull in this role you will:

Have a minimum of 1 years experience working within an SEN / Care / Behaviour / School setting
Be confident to manage challenging behaviour
Be familiar with Education Health Care Plans (EHCPs) 
Be comfortable with personal care

All staff we register will undertake thorough interviewing and referencing checks and hold, or be prepared to undergo, an Enhanced DBS check that must be registered on the Update Service.

Salary is dependent on experience, training and/or qualifications.
