Morrison Water Services is currently looking to recruit an Area Manager to work on our Welsh Water WNA contract in Bodelwyddan.

Morrison Water Services is a proud partner on the Water Network Alliance contract with Dwr Cymru Welsh Water. Our work includes repair and maintenance of clean water network assets, new water mains connections, metering, zonal water cleansing and mains renewal.  

As an Area Manager your duties and responsibilities will include:

Responsibility for delivery of all activities to cost, time, quality and safety targets including customer performance

Responsibility for ensuing all teams are trained and competent 

Responsibility for ensuring reinstatement works is of high quality and that poor performance is accurately managed

Monitor & review all delivery & financial performance & take corrective actions to address abnormalities, including updating commercial and finance teams

Ensure that all plant and fleet is fully productive

Full accountability for safety and compliance auditing

Ensure any remedial work action is carried out within acceptable time frames and appropriate action taken to ensure future prevention

Liaise and agree with contractor’s construction methods, design solutions and specifications on non-standard works orders

Skills and Knowledge Requirements:

Previous experience in an operational management role 

We welcome applications from candidates with Utilities Contracting experience; Water, Gas or Electric 

Commercial experience and ability to work to budgets

Client interfacing and stakeholder management experience 

IOSH safety certificate & Street works (supervisor) 

Resource Utilisation & Control

Effective coaching, communication and interpersonal skills

A working knowledge of disciplinary and capability procedures

A good understanding of operational activities and trade skill
