An innovative technology-led company who develop, manufacture and distribute a range of rapid testing products are looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to join their expanding and developing team.

The Business Development Manager for this company has responsibility for the delivery of personal Contract Services business targets as set by the business from time to time.  The role will entail the following functions along with any other tasks which may be assigned by the Directors from time to time;

Execute new business plans to meet revenue targets, identify new business opportunities, negotiate and close contracts for third party contract development and manufacturing
Ensure the timely and accurate forecasting of revenue for the Services portfolio
Ensure that customer intelligence and information is fed back into the company
Maintain accurate records of the new business customers in CRM
Manage contact opportunities through CRM
Manage and maintain accurate Pipeline information to aid forecasting
Meet agreed targets for Field based activities including F2F meetings and attendance of trade shows and conferences  
Represent the customer viewpoint in internal discussions to the benefit of driving new business
Prepare presentations, proposals, plans, contact reports, sales reports and other metrics as deemed necessary
Maintain periodic review of lost business and reasons for loss and report to marketing and management as required 
Adhere to and promote the highest standards of the Quality System
Work with the rest of the Commercial team across the Abingdon Health group to ensure any cross-selling opportunities are recognised and actioned
Work with the rest of the Abingdon Health team to the betterment of the customer experience with compliance to Abingdon Health systems and procedures 
Other duties as may be reasonable requested by your manager from time to time
General requirements for this role;

The Business Development Manager Role is home based but may require attendance at the company’s facilities, based in York. UK and international travel for sales and customer related meetings where required.

Responsibilities include the sale and promotion of the company’s products and services worldwide.

This is a full-Time and Permanent Contract, with a starting salary of between £35,000 - £40,000per annum (DOE) with an OTE of £60,000 (Bonus scheme discussed on interview)
