OPERATIONS SUPPORT MANAGER

£40,000 per annum

Derbyshire

37.5 hours a week, 52 weeks per year

Reporting to:

Lead Operations Manager

Main Purpose of the Job:

The operations support manager has overall responsibility to drive the operational transformation of the cleaning services to local authority schools, academies, commercial and Derbyshire county council customers. This will include people, processes, financial and operational improvements to ensure customers business demands are delivered as per the commercial and contractual requirements for the day to day cleaning service delivery across the region. The job holder will work closely with the area cleaning managers and build effective partnerships with the clients and colleagues.

Experience:

* Previous experience of leading a team to drive change and transform cleaning services across several different locations is essential

* Able to demonstrate focus on clients and service quality is essential

* Excellent client communications skills with the ability to analyse and present information clearly at all levels

* Experience of account management P&L processes essential

* A proven track record of delivering results through engaging and empowering teams to deliver exceptional standards of service

* Effective people management skills when developing weaknesses and encouraging growth

* Great time management and ‘can do’ attitude

* Excellent organisational skills

* A full driving licence is essential

Key Objectives:

* Managing the transformation of cleaning services across multiple sites in Derbyshire including Commercial businesses, Schools, Colleges, etc.

* Produce and deliver action plans/project plans to aid in the transformation of cleaning services and ensure client is kept aware of progress.

* Supporting a small management team in driving change and transformation whilst ensuring compliance with on-going training needs

* Highlight and escalate any contractual or operational deviations identified within the service delivery

* Provide coaching and mentoring to operational teams and senior internal stakeholders on people, processes and service requirements

* Accountable for adherence to company policies and processes across all locations and ensuring that all colleagues operate in a safe manner and healthy working environment

* Implementing appropriate communications, training and behavioural change solutions

* Continually identify and analyse new areas for improvement and identify risks

* Regular customer contact to ensure we are responsive and adaptable

* Planning and managing team to ensure all contracts are fully supported

* Ensure profit and loss for each account is analysed and savings identified where applicable

* Hours to suit business needs

Key Skills:

* A strong operational background in cleaning services

* Experienced in transformation projects

* Excellent organisational skills

* Ability to compile action plans/project plans and deliver in a timely manner

* Ability to analyse and interpret profit and loss accounts and ability to budget forecast

* Confident with multi-site management

* Strong communicator at all levels

* Ability to work autonomously and time manage effectively

* Competent and proficient in the use of IT software and packages
