Our client is looking for a qualified HR Assistant to join their HR team based in Sheffield. The successful candidate will provide full support to the Human Resources department.

This is a varied and exciting role and would suit an ambitious HR Professional, looking for their next step within a busy and supportive HR team

They provide accessible, straight forward and cost effective services, specialising in Personal Injury, Clinical negligence, industrial disease, Professional negligence and contentious probate litigation.

Key Responsibilities

* Taking control of all new joiner administration, including the full onboarding of the candidate, drafting contracts and sending out reference requests.

* Assisting with any employee enquiries, whether that be over the phone, email or in person.

* Updating the HR System with employee details accurately.

* Arrange and deliver inductions for new starters.

* Liaise with other business functions such as Payroll to ensure that all information is accurate, and all deadlines are met.

* Prepare paperwork for any new starters, secondments and leavers

Required experience

* Hold a Level 3 CIPD qualification

* HR experience in a professional services environment, ideally with exposure to writing contracts and developing and delivering new starter inductions

* Understanding of other business functions, such as Payroll.

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills

* Good level of IT literacy and numeracy skills

* Ability to work as speed and balance a wide range of activities at any one time and at short notice

* Strong attention to detail and ability to work under high pressure
