Estates Multi-skilled Technician

Your new role
To assist the Estates Officer (Operations) and be responsible for assisting in the provision of a high quality, efficient, responsive, flexible & effective estates service.
The post holder will be required to work as part of the Estates Operational Team along with Building, Engineering and Project Officers being specifically responsible for the provision of the estates service
What you'll need to succeed
Experience of working within, and developing a 'safe system of work'.
Experience supervising and leading other members of your team.
Knowledge of the application of : Health and Safety legislation, ACOPs, guidance and rules, NHS technical standards (e.g. Health Technical Memoranda) and Trust policies, basic life support and emergency aid and where required a readiness to train.
Knowledge of and commitment to continuing professional development through on-the-job and/or residential training in order to install, test, maintain, and repair building services in a healthcare environment. As required, to be assessed and appointed as a registered/licensed operative and/or a Competent Person in a range of specialisms related to the post.
Must be multi-skilled in Electrical, Mechanical or Buildings Trades.
Skill in maintenance, fault finding and diagnostic procedures, test & repair work on a very wide range of complex engineering services & equipment, with the ability to work unassisted in varying, often technical environments whilst complying with Health & Safety / environmental regulations and standards.
Ability to make sound judgements with regard to operational safety when in lone worker situation or when put under pressure by the situation or other workers.
Ability to Plan and organise in coordination with contractors unsupervised routine and complex maintenance, analysis, solution finding and repair work.
IT literacy or willing to train to ECDL level 2 standard (use of Microsoft Office suite). Knowledge of/readiness to undertake training on and use of the Trust's computer based asset and condition based maintenance management system.
Commitment to customer care.
UK driving licence Category B.
Ability to be part of an out of hours on call rota.
