Purchasing Administrator (Experience Not Essential)
Apply on Partner Site
This is a great opportunity if you are looking to take the next step in your purchasing career, or, if you are looking for a direction, in purchasing, or buying. Experience is not essential, but the business is looking to train and invest in the successful candidate, to achieve their CIPS qualification. If you do have experience in purchasing, this would be advantageous but a desire for progression will be required.
The role will involve making sure parts are purchased with up to date prices with competitive quotes, negotiation with suppliers for fixed term prices, challenging price increases, ensuring orders are released on time, liaising with different departs, mainly the technical team, using the MIETrak database, chasing purchase orders, processing orders.
Attention to detail is a must and to be computer literate as well as working to deadlines. If you have a little experience within a technical environment this will also be helpful, but again, not essential.
The business is closely aligned with the MoD, they are based in Chichester, there is parking and the salary is very competitive for this Purchasing Administrative role, for which you don’t necessarily need experience. The hours from Monday to Thursday are 8.30am to 5pm with a 4pm finish on Friday, and an hour’s lunchbreak through the week. Holiday is 23 days plus bank holidays.
