Do you enjoy working with mechanical and electrical/electronic designs and helping both customers and internal teams, then this could eb the role for you !  

A Technical Support Engineer is required to work for a design and manufacturing company based in South Leicestershire to help support the engineering team and customers globally.  

You will be joining a small and bespoke engineering and R&D team within a business who are market leaders in what they do and have a high-quality product range. These innovative products are used in high value, luxury products globally.

As the Technical Support Engineer you will be assisting the engineering project team and customer care team in the creation and development of technical proposals to present to customers as well on site commissioning information. A key desirable skill for the role is proven experience of being in a technical customer facing role where you have been required to understand potential issues and assist in diagnosing and resolving them.


Varied engineering role with mechanical and electronic elements
Possible European and International travel to visit clients and trade shows. (Possibly once per month or less)
Office / workshop based in South Leicestershire
 Main responsibilities of Technical Support Engineer :

Customer facing technical support and support to customer care team
Producing design presentations for custom projects including 3D CAD assemblies
Product technical documentation such as spec sheets works instructions and installation manuals
Technical customer support, system diagnosis, fault finding and troubleshooting.
Writing technical documentation such as reports and test procedures
European and International travel to support customers and perform on-site commissioning of the systems
Liaising with customers and assisting on presentations for new projects
Experience / qualifications required for Technical Support Engineer

HND in an Engineering discipline (ideally degree qualified)
Mechanical and basic electrical knowledge
Good practical ability in both mechanical and electronic fields
Experience with 2/3D CAD (ideally SolidWorks)
Experience of assisting in presentations of ideas to customers
Ability to work autonomously and within one or more teams
Good customer facing skills
Ability to gain feedback from customers and installations to assist product improvement and service levels  
2nd language would be highly desirable (preferably Italian or Dutch)
