Legal Cashier / Senior Cashier
Our client is a rapidly growing law firm based in Rawtenstall that are looking for a Legal Cashier / Legal Finance Assistant to support them in their continued success. They have had a really positive record year despite the market conditions which they are immensely proud of and believe that their staffing culture has supported this.
The successful Legal Cashier / Legal Finance Assistant will work closely with the Financial Controller who is motivational and supportive. They need someone who is experienced within Legal Finance, who can think on their feet as well as being great on both accounting and case management systems.
Legal Cashier / Legal Finance Assistant Duties:
* Credit Control
* Dealing with banking and printing cheques for all departments
* Client office transfers
* Setting up BACS, paying and posting client payments
* Processing Remittance Advices
* Preparing Journals
* Ensuring unpaid disbursements are correctly posted
* Processing Fee Earner expense claim forms
* Bank Reconciliations
* Purchase Ledger
* General finance duties to assist with the month end processes
Anyone applying for the role will need to have previous Legal experience, along with the ability to work well as part of a team especially at month end. You will be used to providing timely information and adhering to legal practice accounting systems and processes.
You must have professional, organisational and interpersonal skills with strong attention to detail with good accounts experience.
