Mechanical Maintenance Engineer / Manual Machinist

£25,000 per annum

37 hours a week (Monday - Thursday 7:30am to 4pm and Friday 7:20am to 12pm)

You must have a good understanding of, and experience with the use of manual (non CNC) machines is essential. Including lathes, vertical milling machines, surface grinders and shapers/slotters. It is a pre-requisite that you are experienced in this type of machinery. Experience with vertical borer, horizontal borers would be advantageous. Experience in mechanical maintenance is also required.
Ability to handle heavier components with mechanical aids / cranes
Perform tasks in varied environments, predominately workshop / workbench based, however elements of working outside, working at height and /or in confined spaces may be required.
Safe operation of lifting equipment, cranes, and slinging of items (training supplied but experience required).
Safe and efficient operation of hand tooling, power tools and other machines (training supplied, experience advantageous).
Ability to adhere to good housekeeping practices and maintain a clean, organised and hazard-free work area.
Ability to adhere to all company policies, including Health and Safety and PPE
Undertake any other reasonable duties as required by the company
Flexibility to work in a small team(Working night shifts for up to 3 weeks per year for essential maintenance during the night)
