Our well-established client based in Wrexham are currently looking for a qualified and experienced Health and Safety Compliance Manager to provide strategic objectives and growth plans.
The role includes:
Ensure the Company continues to meet its legislative and regulatory obligation under the scope of ISO 45001:2018
Maintain adequate records, documents, and audits to prove compliance for statutory requirements working alongside other departments across the business
Compile and develop Risk Assessments and Safe Systems of Work (Method Statements).
Review Fire and General Risk Assessments and undertake any improvement actions
Ensure that the Company's sites are systematically inspected and audited, and the findings reported to the management team and Directors
Identify and drive health and safety improvement initiatives.
Implement the policies and aims and objectives of Group Structure
Monitor and investigate all accidents, incidents, property damage and environmental incidents and ensure they are fully documented.
Implement all relevant training and development to ensure all people attain the relevant skillset to ensure a quality led service delivery from an engaged workforce
Support with recertification of BRCGS Storage and Distribution and ISO 9001:2015
Assist with the roll out of updated management systems across the Group e.g., ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO 45001 to ensure best practice is being implemented.
NEBOSH Diploma in Occupational Safety & Health or equivalent.
Proven track record of practical health and safety management experience
improvement mindset, willing to continually drive improvements.
Excellent written and verbal presentation skills and the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the business
Experience within warehousing environments
First-hand experience of developing and implementing management systems such as ISO 45001:2018
BRCGS Storage and Distribution Issue 4 Awareness advantageous
ISO 9001: 2015 Awareness, Lead auditor desired but training can be provided
