A rare opportunity has arisen to join a real manufacturing success story that are going from strength to strength. Established over 100 years, the company are a multimillion-pound market leading organisation that manufacture a multitude of testing machines used in R&D departments across a wide range of markets and applications. They have experienced huge growth over the last 5 years and are able to bolster the sales team by recruiting a medical device and pharmaceutical market specialist.
The Role of the Business Development Manager:
Joining as an area sales manager for the medical device and pharmaceutical vertical, you will be tasked with selling the companies range of capital equipment. These testing machines are used by research and development teams through to design engineers so it would be advantageous to have a good working knowledge and understanding of this market, but it isn't essential. You will manage a number of pre-existing accounts as well as looking to attack the market and exploit new opportunities for growth. You will be the UK market specialist and so there is fantastic opportunity to grow the sector and look to build a team underneath you as things progress.
The Candidate for the Business Development Manager:
The successful candidate needs to have a background selling products or services into a technical market (experience of the medical device and or pharmaceutical markets is not essential). You need to be autonomous and happy being based from home covering a national territory. You will be a focused and determined sales professional that likes to work with different clients that has a real can-do attitude.
You MUST have sales experience within technical or engineering markets
If you have a strong knowledge of the medical and pharmaceutical market, make sure you apply asap.
Ideally you will have worked with a similar capital equipment sales process however other products or services will be considered.The Package for the Area Sales Manager:
£30,000 - £42,000 basic salary
OTE £5,000 uncapped
