We are looking for a Technical Support Advisor to serve as a point of contact for customers and service providers. Resolving queries over the phone, email and using a ticket system and escalating when needed. You will address network cabling, racking/de-racking of server, rebooting servers and network devices and you'll escort vendors/customers to the necessary databases and help where applicable.
You'll additionally act as a liaison between clients and the Network Team to help with collecting exact statistics for troubleshooting, so as to resolve any network issues.

Due to the nature of this role, there will be a shift pattern, this will be 4 day shifts of 7am to 7pm, followed by 4 days off, then four night shifts from 7pm to 7am, followed by 4 off. Shifts do include weekends and bank holidays.
Previous Experience in a Technical Support or Help Desk role
Experience with Cabling and Network Wiring
IT knowledge including Windows/Linux/UNIX and Network Infrastructure
Working knowledge of Network and Server equipment (Hardware, Routers etc)
Understanding of DNS and troubleshooting
Excellent interpersonal skills including written and verbal communication.
