Talk Staff are delighted to be partnered with a leading technology distribution business in Nottingham to recruit a Financial Controller for their busy and dynamic management team.

You will be ideally fully qualified (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) with experience within a distribution or supply chain environment.

This is a key role for the business and you will be supporting the company moving forward into the next phase of its development.

To be considered for the role, you’ll require the following essentials:

Qualified Accountant – CIMA/ACCA or ACA (part qualified with extensive experience also considered)
Sound knowledge & experience of financial software, ERP systems & MS Office (Advanced Excel)
Experience of Sage payroll software
Good working knowledge of VAT
Having experience in a supervisory role will also be advantageous.
Within this position, you’ll also be:

Implementing, regulating & supervising accurate & timely accounting records & controls & report thereon, including management accounts & financial reports
Monitoring & managing bank balances & currency exposure
Maintaining cash & bank accounts, sales, purchase & nominal ledgers including month end routines
Having responsibility for the companys payroll & PAYE records
Keeping upto date with employment law & all other relevant payroll related matters
Maintaining benefit-in-kind records & systems & ensure timely & accurate payments are made
Maintaining full & proper VAT records & completing & filing timely VAT returns
Ensuring that the companys obligations concerning import & export duties & taxes are understood, met & properly reflected in stock costs & accounting records
Carrying out any company secretarial duties as required
Ensuring the security of all relevant records & property, taking responsibility for the maintenance of the companys property & leased assets
Arranging annual commercial & vehicle insurances, processing any insurance claims as required
Playing an important role in expanding/integrating new businesses & opportunities
Salary & Working Hours

Salary is £50,000 - £55,000 per annum + bonus, dependant on experience

Working hours are Monday – Friday (office based)
