Inspect and assess the environment, equipment and processes in the work areas to ensure that the 3 manufacturing plants comply with government environmental and safety regulations, ISO 14001:2015, Company global safety standards and Company policies.

Prevent accidents, protect the health of employees, manage the risks of Companies activities and their potential impact on the neighborhood and the environment.

Responsible for implementing the safety and environmental culture within the organization and maintain ISO 14001:2015 certification on the 3 sites.

Key responsibilities:

1. Is the main point of contact with the authorities or legal agencies of the environmental and labor inspectorate to handle complaints, new permits, litigation and good relationship.

2. Issue required reports for the UK authorities and other relevant organizations, included the yearly sustainable development reporting.

3. Establish new contracts with subcontractors for environmental matters (GHG/CO2 emissions, analyzes, measurements, waste management, etc.) and monitor contractors, including auditing + reporting in Supplier Evaluation Report data base Lotus Notes

4. Record the main EH&S performance indicators at European level and present the facts and preventive/corrective actions during the monthly meeting.

5. Lead the investigation after any incident, accident or near miss and report in the Incident report database. Analyze the causes to define the prevention countermeasures.

6. Lead the investigation of any environmental discrepancies in terms of emissions, waste, pollution and spills. Report the findings in the incident report database and define the countermeasures.

7. Champion Safe Start training and provide support to plant managements in deploying training to blue- and white-collar workers.

8. Educate and oversee employees on environment, health and safety procedures and regulations. Perform prevention plan with sub-contractors. Encourage and promote safety behavior and the use of safer work equipment, materials and supplies.

9. Organize, coordinate and monitor internal and external audits in matters of environment and safety. Advise management plants to maintain ISO 14001 certificate and pass the Global Safety Standard of CCC.

10. Carry out and regularly update all the risk assessments of the 3 factories. Analyze the risks (determine the appropriate preventive measures). Use, supervise and track the sub-contractors or the consultant to ensure progress is made. Issue a monthly activity report.

11. Create, update, assess and audit safety and environmental procedures, considering legal requirements.

12. Verify and improve the working environment by inspecting the equipment and the installation regarding safety & housekeeping, measurements of noise, dust, and air quality. Make sure that all new equipment meets company and legal safety requirements.

13. Assist department heads in their safety meetings. Advise management on worker training.

14. Ensure Management of Change (MOC) procedure is applied by all the departments. Participate in the revision of the HAZOP analysis.

15. Initiate, propose and monitor short-term (annual) and long-term (five-year plan) safety and environmental objectives.

16. Coordinates and insures the implementation on UK sites of Environmental and Safety tools and practices from the Group
