£32,500 - £35,000 DoE

Cheltenham / Hybrid

12-month FTC

A well-established, bespoke engineering firm in Cheltenham is seeking a Senior Contracts Officer on a 12-month, fixed-term contract. This role may be made permanent for the right candidate.

As the Senior Contracts Officer, you will serve as the point of contact within Northern Europe, between customers, projects, and services, ensuring timely review and agreement.

As the Senior Contracts Officer, you will have the ability to work with different stakeholders, at various levels, developing long-lasting relationships. Experience and knowledge of contract law is a must.

Responsibilities:

Deal with a mix of complex and straightforward agreements, and a myriad of business contract priorities, in a high-pressured environment
Liaise directly with the Commercial Legal Counsel NSE on all complex, unusual, or high-value contracts
Ensure signed contracts are communicated to the relevant stakeholders and provide details of key terms and conditions
Review, establish and develop best practice procedures for contract management and administration in compliance with company policies
Draft and review contract terms, in line with the business' risk tolerance principles and Group Mandatory Contractual Practices
Challenge and support the sales teams across the Northern Europe region, to ensure commercial and legal risks are fully considered, registered, and monitored on an ongoing basis
Design and deliver contractual training to internal business stakeholders
Work alongside other contracts specialists across the Group to share knowledge and expertise

Skills/ Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Law
Experience drafting amendments, variations, and negotiating contracts
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Clear organisation, time management, and decision-making
Experience working autonomously and independently
Collaborative working style, with a track record of achieving results
Confidence to deliver training courses
Proficient with the Microsoft Office suite
