IT Support - Graduate

Your Recruitment Team are delighted to be supporting the UK’s leading Security vehicle marking and registration company who are looking for a recent IT Support Graduate to provide hardware, software and project support across the business.

Working with the IT Manager, the role of the IT Support - Graduate is varied and will combine Network & Systems Engineering/Administrator support with relational database software development as required. Comprehensive additional training will be provided to extend existing knowledge. This is an excellent opportunity to join a progressive, established business, with the potential for significant personal and professional development.

The role of the IT Support - Graduate:

* Provide First Line Support for computer hardware and software issues, networking and cabling connectivity problems

* Carry out regular IT administrative tasks

* The development and maintenance of an in-house bespoke relational database system

* Ad Hoc IT and support related tasks as required by the business

Essential requirements of the IT Support - Graduate:

* Appropriate IT related degree

* A clean criminal record. The successful applicant will be security vetted, in accordance with BS 7799

* Full UK driving license

* The right to work in the UK

* Willingness to assist other members of the IT department, end users and customers to meet the business needs

* Self-motivating, show initiative and have a desire to learn new skills and systems

Highly Advantageous (but not expected) skills/experience of the IT Support - Graduate:

* Knowledge of LAN/WAN networking, system back up procedures and a Microsoft client/server computing environment

* The ability to construct web based applications using HTML, JavaScript and server-side scripting

* Experience of processing data from a diverse range of customers

* Experience of supporting both client and server sides of a mission critical production database in a busy data centre

* Familiarity with ISO9001, ISO27001 and PCI DSS quality standards

The successful IT Support – Graduate will benefit from:

A salary up to £30k depending on level of skills/experience, an initial 20 days annual leave plus bank holidays, a contributory stakeholder pension scheme and complimentary healthcare
