Supply Chain / Logistics Administrator - office based role
Full time permanent role - Monday - Friday (Apply online only) office based role. Dog friendly offices.
Based in a rural location between Haywards Heath and Uckfield - Due to rural workplace location it is essential to be a driver and have your own transport - plenty of free parking available on site.
Salary £23000-£25000 per annum plus good company benefits
The role
My client is seeking an adaptable assistant to support the team with production planning, procurement, and supply chain across the business.
This is a fast-paced role which is key to supporting the central business areas and ensuring a smooth operation. This is a heavily computer-based role, so strong computer literacy and the ability to pick up new systems and databases is a must.
If you are dynamic and able to adapt to changing situations quickly, this is an exciting opportunity to learn new skills in a small but fast-growing business.
Duties and responsibilities:
Work with the Supply Chain Manager to monitor stock levels and plan production on a weekly and daily basis.
Schedule production jobs into demand plan and scheduling systems.
Assist with ordering materials, packaging, stock, and other items.
Keep all systems and databases up to date to ensure stock and purchase order information is consistently accurate.
Communicate with Customer Service and Sales, keeping everyone informed of stock levels and production schedules.
Update website stock daily.
Assist with transporting stock to and from third-party warehouses and logistics providers using relevant systems.
Gain in-depth knowledge of products, customers, and demand across the business
Gain detailed understanding of the various stock, demand and other IT systems used in the business.
Assisting with export orders: ensure correct documents are completed fully, carry out paperwork checks, book transport, and update relevant accounts with progress.
Experience required:
Strong administrative experience and IT literacy.
Comfortable using the Microsoft suite of products including Word, Excel and Outlook.
Proactive and adaptable. Due to the nature of the business, priorities and plans may change last minute
Analytical with good attention to detail.
Previous experience in a FMCG business would be a bonus, but is not essential.
Good communication skills both verbally and written.
