As a Supply Teacher or Cover Teacher, you will be expected to work in a number of schools across Blackburn with Darwen. Working as a supply teacher is a very rewarding job and one where you can impact on learning every day, with different children. With our new Teaching Personnel app you are also in control of the days you work. Update your calendar to available and we will call you for work on them days!
You will be expected to deliver the work set by the permanent member of staff for each lesson (or prepare your own work if there isn’t anything set).
You will need to use a range of behaviour management techniques and be able to use your initiative in order to deal with varying needs and ability levels.
To conclude the working day, you will be expected to dismiss the children and leave feedback for the class teacher; specifying progress made and behaviour.
