Teacher of Science

Pay Scale: M1 - M6 + UPS

Full Time: Mon - Fri, normal school hours

Start Date: Wednesday 24th August

Are you a qualified Secondary Education Science Teacher? Are you seeking a new position from September 2022?

LTF Recruitment are working alongside a school in the Loughborough (LE11) region who are looking to appoint a Teacher of Science to start in the new academic yea (August 2022), on a fixed term contract (12 months). The school is part of a large Academy Trust with a strong and forward thinking Science Department, who were recently graded 'Good' within an OFSTED report from February 2022. The school is located in North Leicestershire, with excellent transport links from Nottingham, Leicester and Derby.

The main duties within the role will be:

Planning and delivering engaging lessons to both KS3 and KS4 (all sciences)
Differentiating planning to meet a range of needs
Delivering KS4 examination content in line with the schools exam board
Assessing children's work against the school's assessment framework
Liaising with the school SENCO around the progress of children with EHCPs
Attending weekly department meetings to help drive forward the schools attainment levels

The school are looking for someone who:

Holds qualified teacher status (ECTs Welcome)
Is confident teaching both KS3 and KS4 curriculum across all 3 sciences
Has excellent classroom control and behaviour management strategies
Is passionate about teaching and keen to ensure that students make progress
Is an excellent team player and will work cohesively with the team
