Ideal Recruit are working alongside a long standing client based in Burnley who are looking for a Electronic Repair/Test Engineer 

Electronic Repair/Test Engineer 

Salary: £23,000 - £25,000 per annum depending on experience 

Times : Monday to Thursday 08:00am - 17:00 and 08:00 - 12:30pm Friday

Duties:

Analysis and repair of lighting equipment down to component level.
Fault finding on circuit boards & replacing damaged components.
Repair of switch mode power supplies.
System diagnostics including basic serial communications (Eg. RS485/DMX).
Carry out functional testing of repaired equipment.
Safety test repaired equipment. 
Perform software updates.
Provide technical support to customers.
Qualifications Required:

At least 3 years experience in a similar role.
Ideally have HNC or HND in Electronics & Electrical Engineering.
Experienced with working on mains voltage equipment. F
amiliar with basic test equipment such as oscilloscopes, DVM's, Clamp meters, PAT testers.
Ability to diagnose circuit faults down to component level. E
xcellent soldering & de-soldering skills.
Able to read & understand schematic drawings.
Able to search for replacement components.
Good written & verbal communication.
