System Administrator / DevOps Engineer to join a well-established team that owns the entire infrastructure, from networking, firewalls, and external networking routing in multiple data centres.

The team are responsible for the availability, security, and performance of the core platform. The entire estate runs on Linux platform. Linux experience is essential.

Responsible for supporting, monitoring, maintaining, and improving the infrastructure and the live running of the core applications. Implementing the required security measures to ensure the platform meets the objectives. Would suit someone with strong communication skills as you would work closely with other teams and provide vendor support necessary to troubleshoot and solve any complex issues.

We are looking for someone with the following experience:

Strong System Administration
Set up and management of server build automation tools (Ansible & Puppet)
Firewall set up, configuration and management (IP tables, DNS, IP, Routing)
Implementing information security policy
Solid Linux (Debian OS)
Excellent knowledge of LAMP Stack
Experience with CI /CD, microservices
Virtual Machine Management, performance tuning MySQL and replication technologies
Scripting – any language however this client use Perl.
