You will have your own caseload, working as part of our team and alongside other social care services to identify how we can help. About this job
We are excited to be delivering this new Residential Pathway on behalf of Dundee HSCP and local stakeholders, which will offer a comprehensive and structured approach to residential rehabilitation placement, ensuring individuals across Dundee are able to fully maximise the benefits of the treatment and support they receive.
You will work as part of our Recovery Worker team with the aims of:
implementing & delivering this exciting new service
delivering a structured group work program
developing & maintaining relationships with local stakeholders
promoting & sustaining recovery for individuals
understanding your clients
keeping them safe
creating a plan that they can achieve with your support
checking in with them and reviewing their progress
keeping accurate and timely records of your contact with them
working effectively with other social care providers e.g. Housing, to cover all aspects of their successful recovery
continuously learning and reflecting to improve the outcomes for your clients
supporting your colleagues across the service to deliver excellent careWe welcome applications for this Recovery Worker role with experience in the following areas: Caseworker, Flexible Working, Support Worker, Care Planning, Recovery Worker, Substance Misuse, Healthcare, Social Care, SSSC, SVQ Level 3 Social Services and Healthcare, Communication Skills, IT.
To be successful in this Recovery Worker role, you will:
have attained SVQ level 3 in Social Services & Healthcare or equivalent
already be registered with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) or meet the registration requirements
have some experience of working in a health, social care, or related setting
have the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with clients and colleagues alike
be able to work effectively in a team, supporting others when needed
be resilient under pressure and able to prioritise you work
have good oral and written communication skills
be comfortable using IT and digital media
be organised and able to manage your time effectively
able to be flexible with your working hours on occasion
be happy to support other With You locations when neededYou will also need to meet our safeguarding requirements of a satisfactory enhanced PVG check.
We'll give your application priority if you:
have previous experience of working with people who misuse substances
knowledge of health and safety, including assessing client in high-risk situations
