Supply Chain Coordinator – Spare Parts Division
Manchester (South)

Salary – up to £30k per annum plus bonus (circa £35k)

Our client is the leading company in the UK for transportation and logistics solutions. They provide solutions for all types of transportation operations ranging from bulk goods to regulated medical products.
They require a Supply Chain Coordinator who will be responsible for the overall purchasing activities, management, and monitoring of inventory, coordinating receiving of goods and providing general operations support. They will manage an array of key vendors, working closely with the Commercial team and Warehouse team to drive efficiencies.
The ideal candidate will have very strong communication skills and able to work well under pressure. With previous experience managing stocks and supplier relationships to enable them to provide another level of expertise to the team.
Key Activities / Accountabilities
* Customer order processing (release sales orders from internal customers, invoice to internal customers, handle inquiries from internal customers regarding availability of parts and others, create deliveries)
* Claim/return management (register, handle and follow up claims and returns, create credit notes, arrange subsequent deliveries, analyse claims)
* Transportation (set up distribution network for regular and express deliveries to surrounding countries, order regular and arrange express deliveries, plan and optimize dispatch and loading procedures in warehouse, organize empties return process)
* Purchasing + Material-planning (check and adjust master data like reorder points etc., create purchase orders based on mrp run, post goods receipt, check incoming invoices, track open orders and inform countries in case of delays)
* Warehousing (support stocktaking, coordinate valuation of inventory quarterly, organize and optimize process of picking and packing of deliveries, implement and control standards and quality requirements, coordinate lean management measures with warehouse, optimize warehouse processes and reduce waste in all processes and transports)
* Stock Management (Stock maintenance based on frequency or stock specifications coordinated centrally i.e. warranty)
* Leadership (lead supply chain operator and warehouse team, coordinate and supervise external logistics provider, develop and coordinate strategic targets and optimize SAP processes with headquarters, lead and make decisions based on standardized key figures)
