Community Partnership Operations Manager

12-Month FTC Opportunity Supporting Theddlethorpe Community Partnership

NWS' mission is to protect people and the environment by managing the UK's nuclear waste innovatively and sustainably.

Part of NWS' mission is to deliver a Geological Disposal Facility and provide radioactive waste management solutions. The GDF will play an important role in resolving the long-outstanding environmental issue of how we safely dispose of legacy and future nuclear waste. It will be one of the most significant national infrastructure projects in the UK and will create investment and employment opportunities which will last for decades.

As a Community Partnership Operations Manager, you will have a key role within the Theddlethorpe Community Partnership. This will include developing and overseeing the implementation of the programme of activities while collaborating with the Partnership members.

Additionally, you will;

Manage interfaces between Community Partnership (CP) operations and NWS governance structures including budgetary and work-plan issues.
Use planning and organisational experience to guide the development and operation of "sub-groups" and "forums" to ensure the effective operation of the CP.
Support the Chair.
Identify and manage risks.
Provide the CP with clear information on what is required to ensure the effective delivery of the programme of activities.
Work with Project Managers to produce monthly progress reports.
Develop positive working relationships with members of the Community Partnership

Skills and Experience

Well organised with a systematic project management mindset.
Presentation skills, capable of engaging, addressing and building empathy with people
Experience with developing and implementing, programmes, strategies, and visions.
Experience with establishing an effective governance framework.
Ability to develop and maintain relationships with a wide range of backgrounds and seniority reflecting appropriate diversity, equality, and inclusion.


This role will be a home working position supporting the Theddlethorpe Community Partnership so travel around the area would be needed.

About NWS:

As of the 31 January 2022, Nuclear Waste Services has been set up to combine all of the NDA Waste activities, giving greater flexibility and driving improvements and synergies across the NDA Group. This brings together LLW Repository Limited, Radioactive Waste Management Limited and the NDA Integrated Waste Management Programme (each with their own IT teams, infrastructure, and systems).
