Title: Maintenance Operative
Location: Various Sites Across West London.
Contract: Permanent, Full time.
Salary: £35K - £40K
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Engaging with customers, suppliers, partners.
Pro-active approach with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good practical experience within all aspects of the building industry.
Basic knowledge of carpentry/plastering / drylining and all finishing trades.
Flexible (if necessary work overtime/weekends/emergency call outs).
Ability to organise and prioritise effectively.
Current UK driving licence.
Its an advantage if you have the following : NVQ / HNC(D) in a specific building trade or qualified by experience.
we are currently searching for an experienced customer focused multi-trade maintenance operative. You will be working for an award winning house builder that operates nationally across 13 regions and 2 timber frame factories. We are looking for this maintenance operative to join a team based in the partnership within west London covering the sites across West London and Thames Valley.
This role is site based and involves visiting a customer house to carry out remedial works to achieve and maintain a 5* standard so its important that good practical experience within all aspects of the building industry and basic knowledge across a range of skills including (carpentry/bricklaying/plastering/drylining and all finishing trades) is essential.

Day to Day Duties
Carry out multi-trade remedial work to a high standard.
Undertake vehicle and equipment inspections on a regular basis.
Ensure all areas of traffic, or areas at risk are covered and/or protected from any damage from remedial activities.
Maintain in good order the company vehicle assigned and be mindful of the responsibilities of the road worthiness of same.
Ensures that purchaser’s acceptance sheets are signed by purchaser as proof of completion that the work is finished to a high standard.
Assist the Quality Inspectors with back checks when necessary.
Carry out all duties in accordance with internal code of conduct.
Escalate any issues or risks to the appropriate person through the CM system.
Familiarise and hold a good understanding of required policies and procedure.
Plan the allocation of own work to ensure an effective and efficient use of time and resources whilst ensuring customer needs are met.
